Flashback on the MGA Regional Symposium in Singapore

With the support of the GNSS.asia, Singapore Land Authority (SLA), Singapore Space and Technology Association (SSTA), and Multi GNSS Asia (MGA) organised the MGA Regional Symposium on 6-7 February. The event took place back-to-back with the Global Space and Technology Convention (GSTC) in Singapore.

The symposium featured many reputable speakers including representatives from such prominent European organisations as Syntony, Iguassu, Delta Electronics, HERE Technologies, the EU Delegation to Singapore, and GNSS.asia. Among the attendees at GSTC, there were multiple recognised European actors like Airbus/SSTL, Thales Alenia Space, GomSpace, Arianespace, and Onera. Other guests included Prof Ehrenfreund who headed a DLR delegation while Dr Orsolya Ferencz, Hungarian Ministerial Commissioner for Space, led a small industry delegation. The latter, together with SSTA’s President Jonathan Hung, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Hungary and Singapore.

Overall, the events brought an engaged discussion with Singaporean and international stakeholders in GNSS and space and indicated an intensified cooperation between Singapore’s Land Authority and MGA.
